Hello, there March! The hope of spring, which means flowers, birds, sunshine and in Texas LOTS of wind. Wind we will wish for in July and August, but hey, I’m not wishing away spring or summer. Since it’s the first Wednesday of the month, it’s time for Currently with Anne in Residence. As I’ve said before, this is one of my favorite posts each month.
Choosing ~ I’ve been choosing to get up a little earlier and allow myself the extra time I need to read the Word, drink coffee, and then workout. This routine has been working well for me and getting out of bed just a few minutes earlier allows me to feel less rushed. I’m better when I know I’m not late. Truly, I’m not ever really late…except what is late for me, which for others might just be early.
Imagining ~ My little dream of changing my blog to a new brand and chasing after a few of my passions. I have so much I want to accomplish, but there never seems to be enough time. Truly, there is time and truthfully saying I’m “so busy” is not completely accurate. It’s more where to start and how to make it all happen. This should be happening this week. Hopefully, no snags, but with technology one never knows.
Making ~ I’ve been making smoothies for lunch lately. Not the kind with yogurt because I try to avoid dairy and gluten. My tummy is so much happier when I do. Honestly, I have felt so much better after a week of protein smoothies. My sugar cravings are down and my tummy is happy. This means I’m a whole lot easier to live with each day.
Recommending ~ Just a few short days ago I was recommending to my husband and myself that we should purchase a little land and built a tinier house. Along with that we could garden and raise some chickens and foster those doggies that show up in my social media feed. Heartbreaking and gut-wrenching and I want to be a part of the solution. I’m not much of a country girl but the older I get the more my ancestor roots appeal to me. Who knows what the future holds for us, but I know who holds my future and with that, I seek to rest in each day.
Wearing ~ During February, I decided to bring back Create28. I created some prompts and put together looks from my closet. I posted daily on Instagram and in a Facebook group. I realized I have so many great pieces and I need to challenge myself to wear them. So what I’m wearing or what I wore during Week 4 are featured below.
I also posted my looks for previous weeks. They can be found as Week 1, Week 2, and Week 3.
I hope y’all have the best day and enjoy reading a few Currently posts. I know I’m looking forward to reading about these posts today.

I am trying to do smoothies 4 to 5 breakfast a week instead of my super sweet hazelnut coffee I enjoy. I am using almond milk with them and will get the unsweetened kind to cut out a few calories. I also need to stick to my no eating after dinner plan (failed at that yesterday).

I should wear more of what’s in my drawers and closet. I tend to reach for the same things…

You really do have some great outfits! I went through and rearranged my closet, getting rid of a few pieces I don’t really wear and forcing myself to put together new outfits. It’s fun but I have to stop myself from reaching for the same old same old pieces that I always seem to wear.

Wow you have some wonderful clothes. I love all your outfits! I should get into smoothies too. I’ve got into a few bad habits over lockdown. Thanks for linking at #WowOnWednesday

We have smoothies daily too but with coconut or almond milk. I make them the night before and blend them in the morning to make life easier. Unless it doesn’t happen and then luckily there is Revive Smoothies!!!

Your snazzy outfits put a smile on my face. I rarely leave home except for school dropoff or grocery pickup, so no blazers or skirts for me, but you are looking fab. Love your hair too! And love this new branding idea – how lovely indeed 🙂 Hope it all comes out as you hoped – I know some of these projects can be hard to get going because they’re big and they’re a “side” to regular life – but they’re also so nice, to have a creative outlet for your passions.

We’ve been doing smoothies at breakfast for about 6 months now. I love them. They help us get more fruit and veggies into our diet.
I so enjoyed Create28. I didn’t participate every day and didn’t even share all the days I did join in but your prompts and your looks certainly inspired me.
A tiny house or RV was something I can imagine in my future. Would enjoy having a tiny house on wheels that I can take to the mountains and then down to the sea.

Your outfits are so cute!!! And I would love love to buy some land, build a tiny house, and rescue all the animals. Have a great weekend!

Your pants in the first photo are so cute!! And I love the comfy-ness of your last look.
I want to start doing smoothies. I’ve been having various stomach issues, and I’m mostly avoiding gluten and not doing a ton of dairy. I’d love to know your recipes!

Create28 sounds like a fun challenge. I could use some inspiration on mixing up the way I combine my clothes. Maybe I make up some sort of challenge for myself. Thanks for the inspiration.
