Style! We ladies typically have an affinity for style. Sometimes it’s hard to determine your own style with all the noise and beautiful looks posted everywhere. For me, it can cause envy and uncertainty to determine, “What does Carrie like?” Other times I enjoy getting inspired by others. Inspiring others and teaching myself to utilize what I have in my closet is the reason I started Create28 several years ago. I decided to bring it back this year as a means to appreciate what I have, be content and creative. If you haven’t joined in and still want to, consider this an open invitation. Please join me!
Today, I’m sharing Week 1 looks from Create28 as I tried to follow the prompts.
Day 1 ~ One of favorite go-to looks. Why? It’s put together and comfy. Comfy is the buzz word of the day isn’t it?
Day 2 ~ I really love monochromatic. Typically, I reach for grey when I’m putting a monochromatic look together, but I should branch out and try something else. One day…
Day 3 ~ Neutrals in my mind are based around cream and beige, but there is so much more to explore in neutrals. I didn’t really do that for these looks. But I did decided boyfriend jeans are not my fave or my friend. I think they were created for tall people. I’m definitely not fitting in that category. I might have to let these babies go…
Day 4 ~ Show your chambray forces me to actually wear my chambray. Why don’t I? This is a question I ask myself often. It’s so easy to wear and completely versatile across seasons. It’s perfect for casual or work!
Day 5 ~ Color block has been a hot trend and one that I totally love. Actually, I loved color blocking back in the day. However, my color block cardigan is a little big/long. The crew neck sweater is a keeper.
Day 6 ~ Floral is something I don’t have much of in my closet. I’m especially lacking floral for winter, but I’m glad I have at least one and glad it’s this one.
Day 7 ~ The shacket is another new trend. I didn’t jump on this for quite awhile, but then I saw this online at Banana Republic Factory. It was on sale and I reward dollars. You know the end of the story. It’s happily mingling and making friends in my closet.
Week 1 is over and Week 2 is here. Feel free to join in. I post daily on Instagram with #create28 and create28winteredition hash tags.
Before I close, I have an announcement. Good stuff! First, on Thursday, February 18, Ageless Style Link-up is coming back. We are sporting our Sparkle and Shine, which is probably for a night in these days but getting dressed up for a stay in night might be a good thing! Join us!
Thank you so much for stopping by today and reading my post. I am grateful for the time you spend with me. Have a beautiful day!
