Short post, friends! Electricity has been in and out since early (middle of the night, Monday morning). It has not been good for us down here in the Lone Star State. It’s hard, I have lots of thoughts and comments, but I haven’t the energy to express all I have seen and experienced. So…let’s do style.
Last week was Create28 Week 2 outfits. I had some fun going through my closet and following the prompts to create some new looks. Some I liked and others not so much. Here they are…
I do like mixing three colors together. These colors are a little neutral, but I do like the pop of pumpkin. These pieces will definitely be keepers and remixed in a variety of other looks.
I have quite a few plaids in my closet. However, this one has not really been put to good use. This was the perfect time to pull it out and put it to work. I really liked this look and this wrap.
Simple flannel shirt, but with a ruffle collar and a sparkly thread through the plaid.
A little subtle pattern mixing with a little striped bodysuit {my first attempt at liking a bodysuit and I kinda do}. This short leopard sweater from J. Crew is a fun favorite.
I posted about these leopard Pixie pants that I purchased for about $5 on a major clearance. I like the little pink as part of the print.
Joggers are my daily friend! These are a casual pair but I wear on the regular are more athleisre.
A couple of work look Valentine Day with pink. This is inspiration for me to love pink.
Well, friends that’s about all I have time for before I lose power.
grace & blessings, Carrie

I am praying for all of Texas – how absolutely devastating. I cannot even believe it when I hear how bad it is. Hang in there and know you are lifted up in prayer!

So many great outfits! I really like all of them. Your plaid blanket scarf is so wonderful. I spend my winters wrapped in blanket scarves! And the three color outfit is very chic. I do love a good color blocked outfit. Sending you and Texas lots of positive energy and healing prayers.

Very cute! Love the pink looks, and I’m a big fan of plaid so that wrap is lovely. I’m loving the joggers these days too.
I hope that you are doing okay and staying safe. I have an aunt who is in Texas, so I know it’s been crazy down there!!! I hope everyone gets power soon.

I hope things are improving there and am saying prayers for those in Texas.
Your outfits are so lovely! I love those leopard pants on you and I am a plaid lover myself. Great touches with the leopard slip on sneakers with you loungewear as well.
