Hey there! I’m back…wasn’t planning to be MIA but sometimes it happens. Life creeps up on me and I have to take a step back and regroup. I think I’m good and have my focus back. By the way, I’m glad you’re here. Thank you, sweet readers, for showing up for my posts. It means the world to me.
Today, Whitney and I are doing a little collaboration. Our focus is work-wear and we hope to make this a regular series on the last Monday of every month and this month is Work Wear Style – April. For my look, I thought I would share an outfit I wore last week to work.
I’ve had this little statement top for a couple of years. It hangs in my closet waiting for the perfect opportunity to show it off. Crazy, right?! Wear the things you love. I’m trying to get that in my brain.
On this particular day it was an all-black look, which I’m finding out I really like to wear. I had my hair up that day and felt like I had a little sass. That feeling pushed me to make the decision to cut my hair when I had a highlighting appointment on Saturday. Working on getting my mojo back.
I gravitate toward easy looks and ones that are versatile. This little top can go to the office and work for a casual look too.
You know what else? This top is perfect for a date night. I guess I need to talk to the hubby about a date night.
Have a beautiful day, friends and don’t forget to pop over and give Whitney some love.

YES! You look super sassy in the best possible way! I do the same thing, I tend to leave the things I love hanging in the closet to be saved. Why do we do this?? Anyways, I’m loving your renewed energy and am looking forward to continuing this series with you!

Wow, you are a fierce working woman in that all-black ensemble! I love it. And I especially love when such a great work top is also so great for date night!

Hello, sweet friend! So glad to see that you and Whitney, another of my favorite bloggers, are going to work together again. Yay!!!
I never think to wear monochromatic. I have a picture of myself in white jeans and a white tee from the GYPO early days and that was the only time I have tried it. You have inspired me to try again. That top is so cute. And your new ‘do is very youthful and sassy!!
Glad to see your pretty face again!

You look gorgeous in this top, friend. I’m guilty of saving things to wear – and I have no idea what I’m saving them for! Love the new hair.

Carrie, you are looking fierce and fabulous in both of these looks!! That top is such a closet gem, and I love both ways you styled it–but I think the all black work look with the leopard flats is my favorite. I’m loving this new series that you and Whitney are doing!

What a great top. I love how versatile it can be the little bit of edge that it has. I save things too and I’m not always sure for what. Sierra~Beautifully Candid
