Today is one of my favorite link-ups. It’s Currently time with Anne in Residence. If you haven’t ever stopped by and read the linked up posts, you are missing out. I highly recommend getting yourself over there to-DAY.
Fixing ~ I am totally laughing to myself about this one. If you know me, then you know I can fix nothing, nada, zip…EVER. Fortunately, my husband can fix anything so we are good. Also, in Texas, we are always fixin’ to do something, like eating chips and salsa for sure.
Hearing ~ Actually, I am working on listening to my body. My body lived in an extremely heightened amount of stress for many months. It has taken a toll on me, therefore I am working on getting back on track. Recently, I have been listening to Dr. Stephen Cabral’s podcasts. Learning so much and implementing things that are helping me. Feeling better already!
Borrowing ~ Since December my husband and I have been “borrowing” a house from our friend. Actually, we are living with our friend, her two dogs and our new puppy, Ellie.
Feeling ~ Lately, I have been feeling content. I mean overall for me, I’ve felt content, which is amazing considering all the changes and even uncertainties. I won’t deny that I still struggle with some fear and anxiety, but mostly I feel content and dare I add happy! Amazing!
Recommending ~ Recently, I listened to my friend, Carrie. She’s the one who graciously allows us to live with her. She convinced me to try chocolate almond milk. Originally, I turned my nose up and thought no way I won’t like it. Yep, I was wrong. I highly recommend it. I am loving it and it’s like a little dessert in the evening.
That’s my wrap for this month. I’m looking forward to reading some awesome Currently posts.
Have a beautiful day, friends!
Blessings to you! Carrie

Carrie, I think your contentment even in uncertainty could be a blog post all in itself! If you’ve already written one, I’d love if you would send me the link to it. It’s that whole Rainer Maria Rilke advice, Learn to love the questions… and it’s so hard. A very much ‘easier said than done thing.’ But it sounds like you have some wisdom there.
And happy new pup to you!

Hmmm, chocolate almond milk. Will check that out.
Glad you are feeling more like you and contented and less anxious. I finally had to get on some anxiety meds for LIFE. Mostly issues with my mom. And it has definitely made LIFE more manageable. I can ‘let it go, let it go’ a la Elsa in Frozen.
Are you teaching again? I have given up on working full time and finally at peace with that. But have been subbing some. Prearranged jobs only. Can’t bear the idea of walking into a classroom at the last minute knowing there won’t be lesson plans. Horrors. There isn’t enough anxiety med in the world for me to handle that well.
Carrie says
Hi sweet friend! Not teaching and have no desire to renew that career again. Working in government right now and really enjoying it. Life really can hit us hard but we have to be resilient and I’ve been meds in the past to help me get over the really rough patches. Thank you for stopping by, lady!

I’ve never tried chocolate almond milk. I might have to sometime.
Carrie says
It’s time, my friend! 🙂

Yay to feeling more content and less anxiety! As a fellow anxious person, I know what a victory that is. I will have to listen to that podcast!

People say “Fixin’ to do something” around here as well, but I couldn’t think of anything for that way of saying it either. LOL Chocolate almond milk…I used to LOVE chocolate milk, but I haven’t had it in years, so I might need to try this chocolate almond milk out.

Listening to your body – not an easy one to learn, but so amazing if you can! I dare say that can help with one’s contentment too, don’t you think? So glad to hear about these good things in your life 🙂 And also chocolate almond milk! I didn’t even know that is a thing, but I think I’m going to have to try it now.
Carrie says
Anne, chocolate almond milk is a really good thing. Get you some…it makes my body feel better. LOL Thanks for stopping by today.

Carrie, I am so glad you are feeling happy and that you found that podcast. You have had a tough year but you have made it through! How we bounce back from difficulties is what determines our success!
God bless you friend!!
xo,
Kellyann
Carrie says
Thank you, Kellyann. It has been a year and working on getting back on track. It all takes time that is for sure.

I’ve always been kind of skeptical of almond milk too but maybe I should try the chocolate kind–I love chocolate anything! That is wonderful that you’ve been so content lately–what a wonderful feeling! How nice to have great friends like that too, they are such a blessing!
Carrie says
Thank you, Shea! I appreciate you stopping by…and try the milk!
Deena says
OH man, so nice to hear your voice again! I’ve missed you.

Oh, isn’t that wonderful to say you are feeling content!?! Just lovely – and something I need to say to myself more often! And I DO love almond milk but I’ve never tried chocolate. Hmm – I could be in for a treat!
Carrie says
It is good to feel content for sure! Yay, someone else who loves almond milk and try the chocolate…you won’t regret it!
Tanya says
The first thing I thought of for “fixing” was what am I fixin’ to do. Must be a Tx thing! I’m glad to hear you are finding some contentment and stress relief. Hang in there, friend.
Carrie says
Thank you, Tanya!
