Hello there friends! It’s that time again. Currently time! I’m linking up with Anne in Residence for this post.
Loving ~ It may be strange, but what I’m really loving right now is toast. Not just any toast, but sourdough bread toasted with preserves. This combo is filling my belly and warming my heart. I haven’t let myself indulge in such deliciousness for quite some time, but I laid aside a few of my crazy eating rules and have found myself enjoying little pleasures again.
Making ~ I’m making daily trips to see my dad at assisted care. I love having him close to me so I can see him daily. Mostly, I enjoy spending my lunch break with him. It is a delight to spend time with him.
Taking ~ I am trying to learn to stop taking so many things for granted. i.e. = entitlement. I recently listened to this sermon and was immediately convicted and began to think about attitudes and words that are coming out of my mouth and heart. I’m trying to utter more words of gratitude instead of those other words that like to come out of my mouth.
Wanting ~ I want to learn a few things this year. One is to crochet so I can somehow replace those star Christmas ornaments that were lost in one of our many moves. Sadly, they won’t be from my precious Grandma “Mar”, but our tree will hopefully look normal to us in December.
Wondering ~ I’m wondering if we really are going to get all the ice and snow that is currently predicted to blow in on Wednesday. I hope so! I miss a little winter down here in the South.
Blessings, friends! ~ Carrie

I’m late on all my blog reading and decided to try and catch up with the “Currently” posts tonight 🙂 That’s great that you’ve been able to spend so much time with your dad. And now I want toast and jam. I really love marmalade on a bagel.
