Oh, April, you made it here! I love your weather, except for the tornadoes and hail, but maybe we won’t see those this year. Hopefully, just some showers to bring May flowers. One can hope! It’s time for Currently with Anne in Residence, which is one of my favorite posts each month, and following her prompts.
Arranging ~ I wish I was arranging flowers or furniture, but I’m fairly awful at both of those. I am good at arranging schedules and that is what I’m doing. I realize I waste valuable time on things that aren’t that important to me. This means I lose time for things that I love and do really matter to me. So, I am diligently working on arranging my daily and weekly schedule to maximize my time. I started using Silk + Sonder this year for planning and self-care. I think for me, it’s better for self-care than planning, but I haven’t been as faithful working through it because…I waste too much time on things that don’t matter. Sigh!
Craving ~ Well, I am happy to report that I have NOT been craving sweets. This is huge for me because I love cookies. Like really love them…all of them. I have begun to practice a little bit of intermittent fasting again. I’ve also been eating my last meal by 6 – 6:30 p.m. It has helped me to NOT snack and allow my body time to digest my food before bedtime. I have felt so much better in a variety of ways. I’ve also slept better and am waking up refreshed.
Discussing ~ My husband and I have been discussing the next step for my dad. Could he live with us temporarily? Should we have him come and visit for a few weeks? Should he stay in Iowa or move to Texas? It’s complicated but then a curveball is thrown into the mix when my brother gets involved. We think on parallel lines that do not intersect, especially in matters of my dad. It’s hard!
Enjoying ~ Mostly, I’ve been enjoying the weather. More blue skies, more sunshine, and temps rising make this girl joyful all the way down to my toes. I wish those toes were in the sand somewhere!
Preparing ~ Lately, I’ve been preparing smoothies every day. I’ve been creating my own little recipes which I hope to share soon.
I’m looking forward to reading Currently posts today! Can’t wait to read what everyone links up!
Friends, now it’s on to Part II of this post. I have a Facebook group *Styles from my Closet* and I’ve been sharing 30 Days of Spring Style. This helps to challenge me to try new things and be creative. Sharing a few looks so far in April.
Thank you, friends for stopping by and reading my blog! I’m so grateful for your time and comments. I hope you have a beautiful week.

The mustard and pink combination is unexpected, but it works beautifully with that blouse! I really like the last outfit as well; those ankle boots are perfection.

I have found intermittent fasting to be helpful, but unfortunately, I still crave some sweets during my eating time! Those outfits look so cute on you. Have a great day!

Your outfits are all so cute!
I’ve been thinking about doing the intermittent fasting. It seems a lot of people really like it!

It is so nice to see some of your dressier looks, I feel like I am about over athleisure and ready for more! That hot pink scalloped skirt is GORG! Oh, I totally need to start planning my time better. I have felt like I’ve been in such a funk lately and I haven’t been productive!

I am also furniture -and-flower-arranging challenged! I do appreciate the good work of others.
And I would counsel you to give very careful thought to the decision of inviting a parent into your living space. My mum lived with us for the hardest 5 years of my life. I think I am glad retrospectively that we gave her that gift, but it was hard.

I love that outfit with the bright pink pants and blue striped. blouse. It looks amazing.
Hope you can figure out your dad’s situation so that everyone involved feels good with it.

Love those puff sleeved tops!! The one with the tiny floral print and the blue and white striped one. Looking for something like that or in a gingham. Thought I had found just the thing on Old Navy but they are sold out. Boo.
Good job on drinking the smoothies and coming up with new blends. We just pitch a bunch of fruit and some veggies in the blender and add a little diet juice and call it a smoothie. Ha!!

Oo I can’t wait to see your smoothie recipes. I really want to start drinking those in the mornings.

Oh, how I would love to have my toes in sand just like that. 🙂 I am sorry to read about your dad. Family decisions are never easy and although we are not there yet in our own world, I have witnessed many friends who have gone through or are going through these types of things. I am so thankful that my parents reside in the same city as us, that’s one less obstacle. As for your work outfits, I love all the color!!!!

Having weather to boost you is soooo good when there are hard decisions and curveballs going on – hope you are able to get it sorted out. And I loved your answer for the first one – I aspire to be a better flower arranger too, but always good to know your strengths…I’m pretty great at arranging schedules as well 🙂

Carrie, I have really enjoyed seeing you outfits on Instagram. I understand how complicated it is with elderly parents and siblings. I’ve been there. Follow your heart and listen to your husband’s thoughts too. My husband gave some good advice because he had a less complicated relationship with my siblings.
