Summer is in full swing! Sunny days, grilling, watermelon and celebrating the USA is some of the best parts of summer! So glad it’s here and yet I can’t believe the 4th is tomorrow.
We’ve been traveling for a few days and a whirlwind trip back to Iowa. I’ll be sharing more of it later on the blog, but for now, I’ll just say it was one of the best trips home ever and something unexpected might be happening. To be announced later is all I can say. But today it’s about red, white, and blue looks from my closet.
I’m always amazed that I have so little red in my closet. I love red and have been told it’s one of my best colors and then I look around and find about zero pieces. Thankfully, J. Crew Factory had an awesome sale and I picked up this little cami top for a perfect way to celebrate the 4th in my favorite red.
And as normal, Gracie wants to be a part of everything we do, and especially picture taking.
I really love the navy too. Actually, I love red, white, and blue together any time of the year. Unfortunately, I think it’s really only appropriate during the season of the 4th. I could be wrong, but I always feel a little self-conscience if I put these colors together at other times of the year.
J. Crew Factory did not disappoint with this little navy top {similar} and again on extra sale. My favorite!
And then my husband asked for a gun show, so I obliged him. Getting a little muscle back and I’m excited to have that happening.
I am really liking these Rockstar stretch white denim from Old Navy. Such a perfect and comfy fit.
This lightweight top is also from Old Navy. Perfect for work or casual. I love double-duty pieces.
These Steve Madden sandals are my go-to this summer. Versatile and super comfy and oh so trendy.
Not sure I’ll be wearing these white denim jeans to the fireworks on the 4th. I know it will be blistering hot here in Texas. The easy substitute will be white denim shorts.
Hope your 4th is blessed time with those you love. Enjoy celebrating the USA. Yes, we have our problems, but so does every other country. I’m hanging onto the good and thinking positive because, at the end of the day, I’m glad to be here.
xoxo ~ Carrie

My white pants are a little too snug – I need a new pair. Love ON white jeans.
Those shoes. My eyes were on them in every pic – they are so cute & look so comfy!!!

so simple, so perfect. I love all the three ways you styled your white jeans. Those white jeans look amazing worn with a blue and a red top. I also like the look with the stripes. Great styling.

Oh wow, those tops are gorgeous and you look stunning in them. I’d say red is definitely your colour. It really pops on you. The last top looks very versatile and something that could be worn straight from work to an after school activity, then onto an evening catch up. Super cute! Thank you for sharing these with the #dreamteam 🙂
